How has your education at CatholicU impacted your career?
Gabriel started at CatholicU in 2021. He's a hard working student, which, along with his degree in mathematics has afforded him several enriching internship and research opportunities. Between sophomore and junior year, he accepted a summer internship at The Heritage Foundation as a customer solutions engineer in their IT department. More recent appointment have included IT portfolio analyst at The Knights of Columbus life insurance company, data consultant and liaison in CatholicU's Office of Campus Ministry and perhaps most excitingly, a research assistantship in the School of Engineering's Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering to explore and develop AI models for financial analysis and natural language processing with the use of deep learning and optimization. Gabriel will soon be starting another internship with the Department of Defense, where he hopes to continue honing his mathematics and data science skills. Afterward, he will be returning to CatholicU for his M.S. in Mathematics.
