Applied Math in Action!

Applied Math in Action! is a program for high school and pre-college students to discover how math can be applied to many different fields and to inspire and inform them about STEM fields of study and careers. Unfortunately, Applied Math in Action! was cancelled for 2021, but will be back with our residential program in 2022 -- check back in November for details! More information is available at the link in the box below.

In the meantime, check out the other high school summer programs at CUA during 2021:

In the AMIA! program in 2022, along with math sessions involving problems and games, there will be speakers and tours at local DC agencies that use math: National Security Agency (NSA) National Cryptologic Museum, NASA Goddard, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

Students will have a taste of college life by experiencing a community of like-minded peers and CUA undergraduate STEM student counselors as well as expert CUA faculty. The program assumes basic high school math.
